Established on February 8, 1918, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) is a public research university located in Tbilisi, Georgia. As the oldest university in Georgia and the Caucasus region, TSU has played a pivotal role in the country’s academic and scientific development. Unlike theological seminaries and academies that have intermittently operated in Georgia for centuries, TSU stands as the first modern university in the region.
